Castleholm
Langholm Common Riding began in 1759, according to the town's organisers. Horse racing has been part of the summer Common Riding programme for many years; a local historical account records racing beginning in 1816 and moving from the Kilngreen to the Castleholm in 1834.
- The Castleholm is the main public setting described for Langholm's Common Riding afternoon racing.
- Langholm Common Riding advises visitors to stay on the Castleholm for horse racing, athletics and Highland dancing after the Cornet's Chase.
- Check the latest meeting page and the official Common Riding visitor information before travelling.
